UNITED SENIOR SERVICES
MCF’s design transformed an old, dreary Eagles Lodge into a safe community asset with light-filled, vibrant spaces. The new building encourages fellowship, focuses on wellness, and offers support for people aged 55+ in a safe, secure and technology-friendly environment. Relocating the existing USS Center to increase usable space and amenities involved the entire community and contributed to the downtown revitalization.

Marilyn Horne Museum
UNIVERSITY OF PITTSBURGH-BRADFORD
The Seneca Building, built in 1931, is a six-story Art Deco building located on Veteran’s Square in the heart of downtown Bradford, Pennsylvania. A part of the University of Pittsburgh, Bradford, serving its outreach programs, the first floor was renovated into a museum to house a portion of the archives of world renowned opera singer, Marilyn Horne, born in Bradford. Its community amenities includes a gift shop, coffee shop and multi-use lecture rooms. The museum will not only display historical treasures of Ms. Horne’s career, but include interactive displays as well as a small performance space.

Wellness Center
ANTIOCH COLLEGE
A 1929 structure, the Curl Gymnasium was in a state of disrepair. Antioch understood they had an opportunity to create a space not only for students but for the community at large. The renovated Wellness Center, now boasts memberships by a large number of Yellow Springs residents and has become a hub for community involvement. The new facility is spacious and designed to preserve historic architectural elements (such as the Gilbert Wilson mural in the East Gym) while incorporating modern amenities like a state-of-the-art fitness center and group studio spaces.

Scot Center
COLLEGE OF WOOSTER
The Scot Center is an addition to the College’s existing athletic center. The new state-of-the art recreation facility in the center of campus now helps attract students to the University. Highly visible from all approaches around campus, MCF designed a campus-centered building, linking the new recreation facility with existing athletic facilities, to become a student-life focus.

Litchfield Dining
UNIVERSITY OF PITTSBURGH
The University of Pittsburgh’s Litchfield Towers Dining facility’s renovation transformed a traditional cafeteria into a space incorporating the latest dining concepts, and provides a facility that enhances the student social/housing experience. The facility is roughly the same area as a football field. Before renovation, 5,600 meals were served daily. After renovation, this same space serves 6,800 meals daily.

Sullivan Student Center
ST. LAWRENCE UNIVERSITY
The Sullivan Student Center’s site placement and design transforms the long range campus Master Plan by combining the former two separate campuses into one campus. The building’s shape and orientation create new outdoor quadrangles, new pedestrian walkways, a central plaza and a new central campus front. Its central atrium, meeting center, cafe, post office, student clubs, governance room and lounges draw students and faculty into the social center of campus. The Sullivan Student Center has become the iconic face of the campus.
