Harriet Wick Chapel

University of Pittsburgh, Bradford

Situated at the foot of the Allegheny National Forest, the Harriet B. Wick Chapel on the University of Pittsburgh, Bradford campus provides a tranquil and unique site for religious services, educational programs, receptions, and small choral and musical performances.  It is oriented to take full advantage of the views overlooking the wildlife and surrounding hillsides, as well as the adjacent Tunungwant Creek.  The Chapel can additionally be used as an instructional space, for occasional large classes.

Marian Fountain Convent

Daughters of Holy Mary of the Heart of Jesus

The convent provides living quarters for 32 Nuns. The design is oriented toward four living types: Pre-novice, Novice, Postulate and Professed. In addition to the living spaces the building includes: A Chapel, Offices, Kitchen, Living Room areas, Library, Community Room, Guest Dining and all necessary amenities. One of the projects challenges was the hillside location to the convent. Ground stabilization and vehicular flow required foresight in the planning.

Holy Spirit Friary

Franciscan University of Steubenville

The Friary provides the living quarters and worship space for the 20 Franciscan Friars who direct the spiritual life of Franciscan University and who actively minister to the campus community. The home includes a 50-seat Chapel, guest living quarters, formal and informal living spaces, private and group dining, full service kitchen, offices, parlors for meeting with visitors, and various outdoor living spaces.

Shadyside Presbyterian Church

Pittsburgh, PA

Designed by the famed architect, H.H. Richardson, MCF is proud to have been entrusted with the responsibility of restoring the Shadyside Presbyterian Church. Design work was preceded by preparation of a 10-year Master Plan to complete all the desired work within a controlled and scheduled fashion. Exterior stone restoration was carefully researched, specified and supervised by MCF and included stone cleaning, selected stone replacement and restoration, repointing and waterproofing.
